ABOUT THE AUTHORS Karen Knapp is a Diagnostic Radiographer and Associate Professor in Musculoskeletal Imaging at the University of Exeter. Karen’s primary research interests are osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease. She’s a scientific advisor for the National Osteoporosis Society and works closely with the Society and College of Radiographers.
Robert Meertens is a Medical Imaging Lecturer at the University of Exeter, having come from a clinical background of radiography. His research interests are osteoporosis and the role of microvascular haemodynamics in bone pathologies. He is the winner of the 2015 ASRT Leadership Academy for Educators Award.
Lucy Ashton is a Diagnostic Reporting Radiographer and Senior Lecturer in medical imaging at the University of Exeter. Her research interests include injury diagnosis and prediction in young athletes.
Susan Hopkins is a Diagnostic Radiographer and Lecturer at the University of Exeter. Susan completed a PhD in disuse osteopenia and has research interests in osteoporosis and bone health post knee replacement and following fracture.
