springs are located near the west boundary of the park at kilometre 17.5. Wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping is allowed at Cave Creek on the north shore of Whiteswan Lake. Visitors must practice “Leave No Trace” camping ethics – pack out what you pack in.

disccovercamping.ca or for a $5 surcharge, call toll free (Canada/USA) 1-800-689-9025 or 1-519-826-6850 (international). Group camping/ picnic sites can be booked year round. See
bcparks.ca for policies and costs.
Firewood is available for sale at all East Kootenay South campgrounds.
Backcountry camping permits may be purchased up to two weeks before arrival. Visit
bcparks.ca and on the specific park page, click on the “GET A BACKCOUNTRY CAMPING PERMIT NOW” button to register.
20 Jimsmith Lake
promotes swimming and non-motorized boating, as well as tobogganing and ice-skating in the winter.
21 Kikomun Creek
Facilities: 171 campsites, showers, flush toilets, sani-station, playground and 2 large lakeside off Highway 3, 3 km west of the Highway 3/93 junction at Elko. The park entrance is 8 km to the west. From the west, turn off Highway 3 park offers various recreational opportunities for families and visitors can view the painted turtles species. Do not disturb, abuse, or remove turtles.
22 Lockhart Beach
Location: 40 km north of Creston on Highway 3A or 19 km south of Crawford Bay on Highway 3A. for camping along the south arm of Kootenay Lake.
23 Mount Fernie
the Moyie River in a quiet forest setting.
18 km north from Highway 3 and 16 km south Lake encompasses Peckham’s Lake, which is abundant in Rainbow trout. Long stay camping available.
26 Yahk Fernie
popular destination for mountain biking and fishing in nearby Elk River.
24 Moyie Lake
adventure playground, hot showers, sani-station the only public access to the mountain waters of Moyie Lake and features 1,300 metres of developed beach. Long stay camping available during the shoulder season.
