Michael Warr’s shop just up the road, but unfortunately Michael passed away in De- cember. Michael had removed most of the deck and this will make the job a lot easier. Once the deck is complete she will get her annual maintenance.
There is also hope work will start on the 1903 oyster sloop soon.
Seal Cove Boat Yard in Brooksville is
busy this off-season. A 41 foot Concordia is in getting new frames and some planking.
Another Concordia 41 is in for frames and two or three planks. She will also get a new deck. French and Webb will be doing her mast.
The paint shop has been very busy, currently booked with six or seven Awlgrip jobs. They have done an Albin 28, a Bristol 35.5, and are beginning to peel the bottom of a Bristol 30. A Whitby 40 arrived in January with the temperature zero and they had quite a time getting everything up and running. She is at the yard to be repainted.

Wilbur Yachts in Manset has three boats in the shop for work. A Wilbur 34 open sided hardtop, owned in Northeast Harbor, is in for maintenance. They have lots of varnish to redo and they have to repair the teak deck. A Wilbur 34 from Florida is in having hull and deck repairs made. They are going to add more soundproofi ng, new headliner, move the galley down and refi nish where the galley presently is, and put on new teak toe rails and rub rails. A Wilbur 34 fl ybridge cruiser from Southwest Harbor is in having her engine rebuilt. This is a 310-hp Volvo, which has been shipped to Spofford’s for the work. While the engine is out they will be replacing the fuel tanks, seacocks and hoses. They will also add shelves forward. When this is done they will do bottom paint, varnish and paint the window frames.
