Charter Public School in Norwell, Mass., won the second America’s Greenest School competition sponsored by IC Bus this spring, and a hybrid bus. Schools nationwide are teaching students to be en- vironmental activists, which is supplementing other conservation practices, like those being attempted in transportation departments despite tremendous budget cuts that can dampen those efforts.
