1. Massage your feet, or get someone to

give you a foot rub. Activating the acupuncture points in your feet (especially those on the bottom of your foot) will help ground out any frenetic energy. Do a quick search online for an acupuncture point called Kidney 1. Apply pressure.

2. Start your day with prayer or meditation.

In TCM, prayer and meditation are energeti- cally cooling, and since anxiety most often involves an element of heat – meditation is a great way to ground yourself and cool off the “hot and frantic” thinking. 3. Get some acupuncture. Tell us what

your particular breed of anxiety feels like, and we’ll treat accordingly. In TCM, it’s acknowl- edged that some constitutional types are more prone to anxiety than others. There are lots of great herbal formulas to treat the root of what you are dealing with (the energetic “origins” of your anxiety). We can also give individualized dietary advice. 4. Read. People have been swashbuckling with anxiety for a long, long time (amongst other things, since people tend to write about, well, life). All sections of the library should be considered self-help, since a library is essen- tially a hub of written reflections, stories, and wisdom.
