THIEVES took 400 litres of diesel from an articulated lorry on the A249 Maidstone bound layby next to the roundabout at Stockbury. A wallet containing cash, card and cheques was stolen from a Ford Transit van on the drive of a home in Eyhorne Street, Hollingbourne. It was later recovered. The suspect was said to be a white man in his mid 30s, 6ft tall, and of medium build with short wavy dark brown hair. He was wearing an orange hi- vis vest with a yellow waistband. He was thought to be driving a green W- registration Vauxhall Astra. A silver Honda CRV, registration FE03


VYR, was stolen from the drive of a home in East Street, Harrietsham. A black Honda Accord, registration


RF08 FKR, was stolen after the keys were taken from a home in Fir Tree Grove, Lordswood. Power tools and gardening equipment


were stolen from the garage of a home in Weavering Street,Weavering. The front LED lights were stolen from a


white Mercedes C220 parked in the Siingbourne Road park and ride car park.


Bicycles, garden equipment and a heater


were stolen from a garage inWeavering Street,Weavering. A Rocky mountain bike was stolen from


a garage in HarrowWay, Grove Green. Scrap metal was stolen fromWestfield


Sole Farm, Harp Farm Road, Boxley. The suspects were said to be three white men, two of whom were aged between 19 and 27. One was short with dark brown hair and wore black trousers, a black vest top and black trainers. Another was of broad build, unshaven and wore dark trousers, black vest top and black trainers. The third man wore light shorts, a dark and light horizontal striped shirt and a light cap. A Honda lawnmower was stolen from a


shed in a garden in Caring Lane, Bearsted. There was an aempted burglary at a garage in Teasel Close, Bearsted Park. An Apple Ipad was stolen from a property in Ashford Road. Golf clubs and an Olympus camera were


stolen from a Renault Laguna in Mallings Lane, Bearsted. The rear number plate was stolen from a


VW Golf in Clarence Court,Weavering. A computer was stolen from a car parked outside a home on Ashford Road. The indicator lights were stolen from a Mercedes Benz in Fremlins Road,

SpeedwatchA lengthy discussionwas held on the number of cars speeding through Ulcombe. It had been noted on several occasions that the recommended speed limits had been exceeded and a request for reintroducing Speedwatch had been


received by the parish council. The parish council resolved to reintroduce Speed watch. The clerk would liaise with the local PCSO to reactivate the scheme and would send a notice to the parish newsleer.A local resident had been appointed as team leader to run Speedwatch. LorryWatch The clerk explained that she had been liaising with Kent Highway Services and parishioners regarding Lorry Watch. New boards had been erected either end of Chegworth Road showing that HGVs should not be using the road. LorryWatch was still active and parishioners could ring the number on the boards and leave a message with the vehicle’s registration’s number. These are collated monthly by KHS and details given to the police who will respond accordingly.

Orbit Close,Walderslade. Hand tools were stolen from a garage in


a block in Bonnington Road, Vinters Park. Jewellery was stolen from a property in NurseryAvenue, Bearsted. A wing mirror was stolen from a


Vauxhall Vectra parked in Recreation Close. Maidstone. Power tools and fishing equipment were


stolen from the garage of a home in Ashford Road, Maidstone. A GPS system and keys were stolen


from a white Peugeot Partner van in a layby in Rayners Hill, Lenham. Hand tools were stolen from a shed in


the garden of a home in Upper Street, Leeds.


Electricity cable was stolen from an outbuilding at Great Cheveney Farm, Goudhurst Road, Marden. The suspects are thought to be a white man aged about 30, of heavy build and wearing a white T- shirt, and an Asian man aged about 30. They were driving a Ford van with an 04 registration. The front number plate was stolen from


a Mercedes Benz in Clarence Court, Weavering. Diesel was syphoned from a combine


harvester at East Lenham Farm, Ashford Road, Lenham. The rear number plate was stolen from a


Mitsubishi Shogun parked outside a property in Lenham Heath. The draw bar was stolen from a Land


Rover Discovery at Gowers Garage, High Street, Lenham. There was a burglary at a home in


YeomanWay, Bearsted, but it was not known what was stolen. Two containers of red diesel were stolen


from a building site in Thurnham Lane, Bearsted. There was an aempted burglary at St


James’ Church, Bicknor. Diesel was stolen from a black Mercedes


flat back lorry at Eclipse Roofing Supplies, Old Goods Yard, Station Approach, Lenham. Fencing was stolen from the garden of a


home in Beechen Bank Road,Walderslade. A Hayter petrol lawn mower and a Stihl strimmer were stolen from a home in Tyland Lane, Sandling. A silver Mazda E2000 van, registration


T629 JMY, was stolen from the junction of ReculverWalk and Woolley Road, Senacre. It contained carpet fier’s tools. The suspect was said to be a white youth aged about 18, about 5ft 9in tall with short dark hair. Therewas an aempt to break in to a


shed in the garden of a house in Cornwall Close, Shepway. Clocks andwatches, computer equipment and jewellerywere stolen from a home in Ulcombe Hill, Ulcombe. Golf equipment and a black and white bicyclewere stolen from the garage of a home in TolgateWay, Sandling. A silver Mondeo in a layby outside Pilgrims Retreat caravan park in Hogbarn Lane, Harrietsham was badly damaged. A greenVWPolowas broken into in


Cross Keys, Bearsted, causing considerable damage.
