BABAJACK GALLOW’S POLE

NORWICH BLUES, RHYTHM & ROCK FESTIVAL 13 SEPTEMBER 2014 THE WATERFRONT, NORWICH

People of Norwich, no need to travel great distances in order to attend festivals. Our very own waterfront will be putting on the third annual Norwich Blues, Rhythm & Rock Festival right here in our fine city. Six great classic bands and acts will be performing over 8 hours all in one place…it couldn’t be easier. Te festival still retains it’s Blues base, this year a greater diversity of music has beenadded, including Roger Chapman headlining. Roget Chapman has been singing rock =since the 1960’s, so he’s guaranteed to put on a professional and awesome show. Tere’s also Eddie and the Hotrods who have been going since 1975 and whose classic hit “Do anything you wanna do” will no doubt get an airing at the festival. Babajack, a modern classic rock band who are hitting loads of festivals this summer, and Doug Macleod, an acoustic blues guitarist, will keep things moving along, and that’s just a few of the excellent musicians you can see for a mere £24 for a whole day of music. Te fun starts at 2 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m.

You can get tickets by calling 01603 508050 or go online at www.ueaticketbookings.co.uk To check out the line up and find out more about the festival, please visit www.norwichbluesfestival.co.uk/index.html

CHIC I WANT YOUR LOVE

Te wonderful world of Bestival was born in 2004 after ten fun years of pioneering music events and record releases from Rob da Bank and his Sunday Best empire. It’s Josie and Rob da Bank’s creative vision that sets Bestival apart. Whilst the massive musical brain of Rob ensures the Bestival line-up is the most eclectic you’ll ever experience, it’s Josie’s creative wand that casts its magic over Bestival land. From the most original boutique campsite experience, to the Bollywood Cocktail Bar, a Wishing Tree Stage, fancy dress en-mass and even a Roller Disco, it’s this uniqueness that makes Bestival a wondrous world of discovery and adventure that will inspire peace, love and dancing not only in September, but all year round. Te line up is TRULY IMMENSE; Outkast, Beck, Busta Rhymes, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde Live, Tune-Yards, Jenny Lewis, Foals, Chic and Major Lazer to mention just a tiny number of how many wonderful and diverse acts can be seen at Bestival this year. Let alone all the other good stuff, comedy, performance and Dj’s abound on the site. Te theme this year is desert island disco. Te mind boggles at the possibilities. It’s a place to become the hedonist you always felt you really were, let convention fly out the window, and fill your heart with all that Isle of Wight goodness. Plus you get to go on a ferry!
