POOL LINERS & SYSTEMS

GOLDEN COAST’S RANGE OF LINERS TRANSFORM POOLS QUICKLY (AND CHEAPLY TOO!)

The latest pool liners deliver on all counts. They’re strong, high quality and built to last. Take a look at Golden Coast’s latest catalogue and you’ll see the huge range of styles, designs and colours available – ensuring that whatever transformation your customer is looking for, you are sure to deliver. Quick to install and at relatively low cost, liners give pools a ‘facelift’ – transforming them from a dirty hole in the ground into a stunning and beautifully reflective swimming pool.

Golden Coast, the UK’s biggest

independent supplier of wet leisure products to the trade, offers a comprehensive range of liner alternatives – including the Swimmer 30 Thou range – that are inviting, practical and attractive. Built to stand up to the test of time (and the elements), this range is .75mm thick and is available in a range of timeless poolside colours that are all destined to sparkle in the summer sun, including Persia Sand, Ice Blue, Tuscany Blue and Persia Blue.

But the designs and options are just as important to prospective customers. The Swimmer range offers the choice of simple and discreet-coloured liners, additional mosaic tile bands, patterned floors, gemstone tile bands, or a combination of any of these to enrich and revitalise any size or shape of swimming pool.

If longevity and durability are your customers’ primary concerns, Golden Coast is one of the few distributors in Europe to offer a range of exceptionally strong, heavy duty liners. Their flagship Swimmer Pro-Tech 4 liner has four separate layers of highly protective lacquers designed to combat the combined forces of abrasion, sunlight and chemical attack for the ultimate in strength and reliability.

CERTIKIN HAS THE RIGHT TOUCH New for 2014, Certikin North’s Touch range of vinyl, for site application only, offers a variety of attractive natural stone effects both in appearance and texture.

By combining high quality and thicker than standard (2.0mm as opposed to 1.5mm) vinyl with the latest design and manufacturing technology, the Touch range offers a unique pool experience and presentation supported by a long established installation method. The range has been created by not only printing, but also by engraving and embossing the surfaces of the vinyl to create a 3D effect which offers both aesthetic beauty and a pleasant and surprising touch. The vinyl is protected by the AlkorPlan

Certikin North purchases vinyl from three of the world’s foremost manufacturers of swimming pool vinyl – as a result they are able to offer a wide and varied selection of colours, including a Sand Mosaic option as used here

3000 multi-layer lacquering system for maximum protection within the pool environment.

Each of the three designs has been created to mimic nature. The Authentic option offers the look of natural carved stone, whilst the Relax option re-creates an exotic beach effect and reflections of a turquoise sea. The texture of both the Authentic and Relax creations allows them to be certified as anti- slip product to Cat C of the required DIN standard. The Elegance design re-creates a black slate effect, offering elegance and glamour. An accompanying anti-slip version of this design is available for steps, ledges and slopes. All designs are complemented by specific seam sealers which minimise the visibility of overlap heat sealed joints.

CERTIKIN NORTH IS ON A ROLL TO MEET UNPRECEDENTED DEMAND! Unlike some of the competition, Certikin North purchases vinyl from three of the world’s foremost manufacturers of swimming pool vinyl – as a result they are able to offer a wide and varied selection of colours, patterns and tile bands, many of which are exclusive to Certikin. All vinyls are specifically formulated for use in swimming pools and meet all the standards required. Sales of Certikin North’s market leading liners and on site lining installations have gone through the roof, so the company has recently invested significant sums of money in installing state of the art equipment and doubling its installation team numbers to meet demand.

In the Leeds factory, the latest addition to the company’s existing suite of sophisticated and highly technical equipment (automated

and automated beading machines) is a fully integrated and automated material dispensing carousel. With the ability to hold up to 26 reels of pool vinyl, the carousel increases speed and flexibility of overall manufacture by integrating with the cutting table and significantly reducing the time required to prepare a liner for welding – thus helping to minimise lead times.

Certikin North General Manager, Neil Stephenson says: “The installation of the carousel provides us with a great asset, not only in terms of decreasing manufacturing times of pool liners, but also in terms of developing into other avenues of sheet cutting which we are currently investigating. The carousel brings wide reaching advantages across the operation but ultimately it is the customer who will benefit.” Away from the factory, the dramatic increase in demand for Certikin North’s

Infinite on site lining service has also lead to a welcome increase in manpower and thus capacity. Neil explains: “By doubling our installation team numbers we have been able to open up space in our booking diary and can now offer installation dates from July onwards (on a first-come-first-served basis),
