Everyone is familiar with the RCA logo with Nipper the dog listening to the RCA gramo- phone. But the original picture had both the dog and the gramophone sitting on his dead master’s casket. The idea being that the closest thing to his dead master’s voice was the RCA gramophone. The ad was even- tually considered too morbid and they removed the casket.

It’s the oldest grange in country at 142 years. They host this annual cherry pit spitting competition at their yearly picnic. She won the woman’s contest in 2012 and this year 2014. She spit the pit 19’11”! You an listen to her on the radio, 9:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday. Good job Debbie! ~ PAD
