There are two really simple things you can do to help look after your family. The first is thinking about what your fire escape plan would be in an emergency. Once you have a plan it’s really important to practice it with the children so they know it off by heart.
The second thing is to fit (and importantly test!) smoke alarms on every level of your home. They really are lifesavers, giving your family time to safely escape a fire.
