Studying in Colorado offers an amazing experience many would claim to be the best in the United States.

With the beauty of its sprawling natural landscape, the lively buzz of its cities, the richness of its culture and the quality of its academic offerings, you will definitely be spoilt

for choice.

Colorado offers students an array of high quality study choices. With schools providing courses in fields ranging from Aerospace Engineering Sciences to Voice and Opera, Colorado’s universities will not disappoint. There are several significant private universities to choose from, but it’s the schools belonging to the state university system – Colorado State University (CSU), University of Colorado (CU), and University of Northern Colorado (UNC) – that are among the most prestigious and recognized in the world. It’s not hard to see why Colorado is the third most educated state in the US.

Colorado State University’s school at Fort Collins has annual research funding of roughly $300 million, which makes it one of the leading research centres in the US. CSU also has other acclaimed schools dotted around the state. Ranking impressively in the world and highest within the state is the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU-Boulder), which boasts a legacy that includes five Nobel laureates. The University of Northern Colorado offers all of the advantages of a large university coupled with a warm and caring learning environment, its Central Campus is in the city of Greeley and it also has satellite campuses in Loveland, Colorado Springs and Denver.

In Colorado a truly fulfilling student experience takes place outside of the lecture halls just as much as it does inside of them. It is simply the perfect place to balance work with play. The 205 parks that make up Denver’s city park system provide a vast playground for any lover of nature. If you don’t consider yourself outdoorsy enough, the breath-taking scenery to be had from the nearby 20,000 acres of mountain and forest land will surely convert anyone. Many of the state’s most famous recreational activities are outdoors and can be enjoyed on any of its estimated 300 days of sunshine. Adventurers can choose from climbing up or skiing down Colorado’s numerous mountain peaks, blazing trails on foot or on bikes in its forests, and rafting and swimming in its lakes and rivers.

The hustle and bustle of the city is never too far away though, and that’s one of the best things about Colorado. You can easily explore the Rocky Mountains one day, and on the next tell your friends all about it over dinner and drinks along 16th Street Mall. Talk about an eventful weekend!

Colorado’s cultural scene is just as rich as its natural beauty. Go ahead and attend a concert or a music festival in one of the numerous venues like the open-air Red Rock Ampitheatre, which is sure to redefine the way you enjoy music. Music is a big part of Colorado’s heritage and character, with bands such as The Lumineers, The Fray, and Earth, Wind & Fire proud to call the state home. Or take a break from all of the greenery by feasting your eyes on the art on display inside and outside of museums.
