Hunt for two men aer woman aacked in street
AYOUNGwomanwas left bruised after two men repeatedly punched her in the face as she walked alone through Sharnal Lane, Snodland. The attackers followed the 19-
year-old and stopped her in an iso- lated area close to garages near Nevill Road. They told her to hand over her mobile phone, and when she refused, hit her in the face sev- eral times. One of the men grabbed her arm
and tried to search her pockets, then the pair fled empty-handed towards Saltings Road.
Police have appealed for wit-
nesses to the unprovoked attack which happened at about 10.10pm on Sunday, February 23. DC Hayley Campbell said: “Thankfully, the victim was fortu- nate not to have suffered any seri- ous injuries, but this does not detract from the fact that thiswas a very serious crime committed against awoman whowaswalking alone. The victim knows this area well, but has never seen these men before.” Both culprits had foreign accents.
One was in his 20s, about 6ft tall with a medium build, very pale skin and a large gap in his front teeth. He was wearing a black hooded top with three stripes run- ning down the front of both sleeves, patchy jeans and white trainers. The otherwas younger andwore
jeans, a black jumper with a hooded top and black trainers. Anyone with information is
