Te Association for Women Attorneys honored several women at their annual banquet this year. Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Janice M. Holder was presented with the AWA President’s Award. Te 25th Marion Griffin-Frances Loring Award was given to 2013 MBA President Linda Warren Seely. Also, scholarships were presented to several students of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Ariel Anthony received the Susan Clark Scholarship, a new namesake award. Rebecca Closner received the Dorothy Osradker Scholarship, Jennifer L. BankTennessee recently awarded Abigail Mabry the 2014 John S. Wilder Law School Scholarship. Te scholarship is named in memory of John S. Wilder, Sr., a former Lieutenant Governor of the State of Tennessee, a former vice-chairman of the BankTennessee’s board of directors and one of the founders of the bank. Te endowed scholarship is awarded annually to a University of Memphis third-year law student and Tennessee resident who has demonstrated, in the spirit of Wilder, a commitment to public service and to enhancing the common good.
