revolution Join the bulk fill

Scottish Dental Show visitors are invited to ‘Composite Bulk Filling – A New Perspective’

L

ed by Arshad Ali, ‘Composite Bulk Filling – A New Perspective’, at the 20ı4 Scottish Dental

Show, is an event not to be missed for every dentist dedi- cated to remaining at the forefront of dental technology. Speaking about the work-

shop, Arshad said: “I carry out general restorative dentistry, among other treatments, and introduced SonicFill, the fast and easy composite bulk fill system for posterior restora- tions, into my practice in 20ı2. Since then, I have performed a large number of restorations using this revolutionary system and haven’t looked back. I now want to share my experience and knowledge to benefit my dental colleagues and their patients.” The workshop will enable

delegates to: • Understand the factors that influence success and failure of composite restorations

ABOUT SONICFILL

SonicFill’s composite incorporates a highly-filled proprietary resin with special modifiers that react to sonic energy. As this sonic energy is applied through the handpiece, the modifier causes the viscosity to drop (by up to 87 per cent), increasing the flowability of the composite. This enables quick placement and precise adaptation to the cavity walls.

When the sonic energy is stopped, the composite returns to a more viscous, non-slumping state that is ideal for carving and contouring. The composite in the phase of sculpting is highly responsive to the shear stress and allows tight adaptation in the cavity. Increased levels of photo-initiators in the composite material allow a full 5mm depth of cure in 20 seconds with

as little as a 500mW/cm light source. Plus SonicFill’s higher translucency does not compromise aesthetics. Over two million SonicFill tips have been sold world-wide, and there are hundreds of satisfied users in the UK. To find out what the bulk fill revolution can offer your practice, Kerr invites you to join Arshad at the Scottish Dental Show this May.
