Three PEF Board
By SHERRY HALBROOK Three of the eight mid-term vacancies on
the PEF Executive Board have been filled through the 2014 first-quarter special elections that began in January. Balloting is underway to fill two more of those vacancies. Diane Jaulus, Zachary Morton and
Sametta Shaw, were the sole certified candidates for board seats 50, 165, and 300, respectively. They will serve the remainder of the unexpired three-year term of office that ends July 31, 2015. Jaulus will represent certain PEF
members at the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision at eight downstate facilities. Morton will represent certain members at
the state police and several other agencies for criminal justice, violence prevention and crime victims services. Shaw will represent certain members
working for the state Office for People with Developmental Disabilities in PEF Region 6.
