No matter what position you are applying for, there are a few skills that every employer will be looking for in potential candidates. Luckily for you we have done the groundwork and found out exactly what you need to be showing off in the job application process to ensure success, even if you haven’t had years of work experience.
Organisation
It’s a classic one but still important, even the most creative job roles will require you to be working on numerous activities at once, but don’t worry, you don’t have to be a dedicated Filofax- addict. You just need to show you have previously managed to juggle a few different projects and complete them all to the highest standard.
What they’ll ask:
Describe a situation where you had to handle numerous tasks at once, how did your prioritise your workload?
You should say:
I’m betting university was jam-packed with times when you had four assignments due within a fortnight, then three weeks of nothing. Academic examples or as good as any, so just explain how you decided which assignments to complete first, how you scheduled your time, and what you would have done differently (always great to show you want to improve). Finish with how pleased you were with your grades for each; done.
