mistakes with nutrition, exercise, medication and more. By applying the right nutritional plan, using the proper nutriceutical supplements, applying the right exercise methods and the correct strategies for eating and rest, Type 2 Diabetes can be reversed. No. 2 – Diabetes is genetic. So
many think, “I got it from my parents.” The fact is that heredity does play a role, but proper lifestyle and strategies can overcome genetics. No. 3 – As long as you take
prescribed medications, Diabetes is controlled. This is a huge mistake because the pills don’t treat the underlying problem. As stated above, Diabetes is the result of the dysfunctional metabolism of glucose. Medications used to “treat” Diabetes do little to correct the dysfunctional metabolism, so the problem continues. No. 4 – Type 2 Diabetes is really not that big of a deal. That’s just false, because it’s a huge deal! Excess glucose circulating in the bloodstream causes not only inflammation and fat storage, but it oxidizes. The oxidation process is a lot like the process of rust on metal. It produces Advanced Glycation End
Products (AGEs) that wreak havoc amongst the cells of the body and can lead to cellular destruction. Type 2 Diabetes is the leading cause of kidney disease, neuropathies, non- traumatic limb amputations and blindness in the U.S.
How Does This Happen? The U.S. has more Type 2 Diabetes than anywhere in the world. It is ridiculous really because it is so preventable and reversible. One reason is the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) full of sugar and processed and packaged convenience carbs that are ingested in large quantities. The lack of nutrition makes it nearly impossible for an overwhelmed body to keep up. Reversing the problem involves eating a nutrient-dense diet providing the nutrients necessary to process energy from the food eaten. This will help the pancreas re-adjust and function properly so that the system works efficiently.
What You Can Do Each person’s situation is unique with
specific symptoms and dysfunction within a body that is out of balance. Through proper consultation and evaluation, we can actually pinpoint the cause of the glucose metabolism dysfunction and Type 2 Diabetes. Then the actual breakdowns causing the majority of symptoms can be identified and the right corrective plan can be established. It involves a lot more than just looking at glucose levels; it is about establishing the right lifestyle plan that works.
