HEALING ARTS Happy Holidays?... Maybe NOT By John Henderson, DD, CI, CT.NLP

Are you going to have a happy holiday season this year? Will Santa bring you everything you want? In other words are you manifesting all your dreams? If so, congratulations and if not, what’s keeping you from it? Maybe you’re doing the “loop de loop”; which is trans- lated as “just as things start to get better, your subcon- scious mind, because of it’s programming, knows that you don’t think you are deserving of wealth, happiness and a fantastic life, so it goes to work to make sure things don’t get bet- ter”. It’s like you are on the merry go round and as you reach for the brass ring for a free ride, your arm gets a cramp and you can’t reach it. Foiled again! Maybe next year you can manifest your dreams and have a happy holiday. Well, it’s only too late this year if you think it’s too late because there is time for you to repro- gram your subconscious mind before the “Big fat guy in the red suite” comes sliding down the chimney.

It seems to me that our interacting with people on this planet is like trying to cross a “neck deep” fast flowing muddy river in that you are “neck deep“ in fast flow- ing dirty emotions all the time when you are at work or during most other activities, even the “happy holiday party” where gossip is flowing fast and furious. I’m sure you can visualize what you would look like if you had to cross that river all muddy and get drenched with the mud and dirty emotions of others and even though you don’t always see the dirt and emotions, it’s still there and your subconscious mind soaks it right up.

Reprogramming the subconscious mind can be done with many different modalities. Hypnosis and NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) are two of the most efficient.

Once you are cleared and your subconscious mind is reprogrammed, the “birds of a feather” theory comes into play and this means that you no longer attract the people that you got the muddy emotions from, you attract different “birds” or friends and coworkers with a higher vibration. This can be done in every area of your life until you are a new person, one who focuses on

happy times and is out of the loop of poverty conscious- ness, ill health or lovelessness by continuing to focus on positive affirmations. Dr. Bruice Lipton, in his book THE HONEYMOON EFFECT says that overwhelming the mind with positive suggestions every time a negative thought comes up is very effective in breaking the negative thinking pattern. Anytime you feel down or in any way inadequate, read or listen to a CD of positive affirma- tions written in a way that your subconscious mind can believe, like “more and more each day I am coming closer and closer to having my dreams come true” as opposed to “I am now rich and wealthy” because if your sub- conscious mind knows your affirmation is completely untrue. It will discard this affir- mation with something like “Oh yeah, and pigs are flying out of your ears too!” Google affir- mations on your com- puter and pick those that show change for

you in a positive direction that you can believe in and slowly increase as your life changes, because it will change if you stay with positive affirmations and “Don’t worry, be happy” because there is no way to happiness, happiness is something you choose and you can be happy in spite of what is going on around you. You are a child of God, a part of this wonderful Universe and deserve to be happy and at peace because you exist. The first step is to identifying your blocks and the sec- ond is to reprogram them.
