Since the conference recess, you won’t have failed to no- tice that Parliament has been dominated by energy prices and the cost of living crisis. You can read more about the #freezethatbill campaign in the pages that follow, but it is not the only issue which has been on the agenda at Westminster.
There was another victory in the battle for a pensions market that people can trust. After months of pressure from Labour
to do something about the un- fair charges, which are eating away at the pensions of hard- pressed consumers, the Govern- ment has finally caved in this week and agreed to cap at least the charges we know about. It has taken the Government far too long and it has dragged its heels when it comes to stand- ing up for hard-pressed working families and challenging power- ful interests. I will continue to pres-
