Naples Sustainable Business Network Monthly Meeting

he Naples Sustainable Business Network (NSBN) will host a monthly network- ing event from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m., September 19, at Chez Boet, in Naples’ Crayton Cove. NSBN events are open to any-


one in the greater Naples area interested in networking with like-minded individuals and sharing visions for our sustain- able future.


Naples’ 10-year Vision Plan was adopted six years ago


to achieve five major goals—preserve the city’s distinctive character and culture; make it the green jewel of Southwest Florida; maintain an extraordinary quality of life for resi- dents; strengthen the economic health and vitality of the city; and maintain and enhance governance capacity for public service and leadership. NSBN continues to help bring this sustainability vision to businesses and residents in the area.

Major Events Upcoming at Eyes Wide Open


E


yes Wide Open, in Bonita Springs, will host two special


events this month. Dr. Isaac Goren will conduct an introductory medical qigong class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., September 7 and 8, and an International Day of Peace Celebration will feature a full day of multi-modality sampling and creative art expressions on September 21.


Goren, a doctor of medical qigong specializing in oncol-


ogy, master of acupuncture and master Sufi healer, will teach qigong exercises steeped in Traditional Chinese Medicine that strengthen the body and immune system, regulate the internal organs, nervous and endocrine systems, relieve pain and regulate and release deep-seated emotions and stress. With a Reiki clinic in the morning and free yoga classes


and brief Thai massage sessions in the afternoon, the Septem- ber 21 event will feature a celebration of peace from 6 to 9 p.m. that includes a display of children’s art, presentations of artwork by participants in the Naples Shelter Art Healing Program and by Peace Ambassador Janet Weisberg, of Project NatureConnect, and an Eatomology session with Sayer Ji and Tania Melkonian.
