n There’s no finish line. This adventure is still brand new. This first year has broadened my vision and expanded my dreams. As long as I own this magazine, it will exist to improve lives and enrich our community. So the work, the joy, the love continues.
If you read this magazine regularly, you are on your own adventure, your own path to physical, mental, emotional improvement. We are part of a caring community, and together we are making a tremendous difference, in our own lives, in the lives of those around us, in our community, for our planet.
May your life be richly blessed throughout this joyous month of August!
t has been a year. A wondrous, scary, thrilling adventure-of-a-year. So much discovery, so much yet to discover. So much learned, and so much still to learn. So many new people in my life, and so many more I can’t wait to meet. Aug. 1 a year ago I officially started on this new path of entrepreneurial business ownership. I took over as publisher and immediately had to leap onto a moving train. With patient help from Karen and Mike Goins and my own stubborn resolve, I dove into an enormous pool I’d not ventured into before. I have been greatly enriched
by that leap. I share a few observations from the past year:
n People do care. The world really is full of genuine, caring, loving, giving people. Be one, and connect with the others. I’ve been blessed to connect with many amazing people who are passionate about improving the health and lives of others and who care deeply about our community and our planet.
n Life provides. So many people have “appeared” when I needed them this past year. It has made me think more about the power of “manifesting” the things we need or want from life. The Universe knows our needs, and when we ask, it is amazing how solutions appear.
n Givers gain. It has been a year of giving – giving time, giving attention, giving advice. I love this part of my new working life. It’s true that we get what we give. I don’t think we can ever give too much.
n Intuition is a good guide. Tuning in to that sixth sense is important. We all have it, and we can all develop it and listen to that inner voice that knows the way, knows the answer, knows which option is the right decision.
n Human contact is essential. We’re wired to experience each other in multiple dimensions – sight, sound, touch, energy and yes, even smell. There’s no substitute for connecting face-to-face. You can’t get a real feel for someone through the Internet or social media. Trust is crucial, and that comes from real human connections.
n Family matters most. I passionately love my family, especially my amazing wife. There’s no substitute for being present, and being able to be more present with my family has been a gift beyond measure.
