Footpath appeal to go ahead
THE Planning Inspectorate will decide the future of a footpath next toWater Lane. The parish council reluctantly withdrew its objection to the re-routing of the footpath last month after being told other protestors had done so, but KCC said the withdrawal came too late and as other people were still objecting the matter would be passed to the inspectorate. The appeal is expected to be heard within six months.
Road resurfacing A MEMBER of the public re- ported problems with road resurfacing to the north of the M20. She said signs warned of

will be invited to a parish council meeting to accept the award on her behalf.

Bridle path issues A MEMBER of the public com- plained that bridle paths across land around Water Lane were not being reinstated after fields were ploughed. He said he and others had
been complaining to KCC for 14 years. Bridle paths are meant to be reinstated within 14 days of ploughing, he said. The man described the situation as very unsatisfactory.
Manor plans THE council supported propos- als to create four residential units within Friningham Manor. Cllr Skinner said the proposal would make good use of a potentially nice building that was currently derelict.
