• Godalming-based accountants and business advisers Roffe Swayne has announced the promotion of Helen Kay and Jonathan Vickery to partner. They are also waving a fond farewell to Chris Baxter who retires in June 2013 after 30 years with the firm. Sharon Ward, managing partner, commented: “Chris has been a key part of the growth and success of Roffe Swayne over the past 30 years, as well as helping and supporting a large number of clients to achieve their goals. He will continue to work for us on a number of his clients on a consultancy basis – but will be spending more time with his family and lowering his golf handicap!” Kay and Vickery will have a pivotal role in the continuing growth of Roffe Swayne. Kay, who trained with KPMG in London, joined Roffe Swayne in May 2003. She is an auditor with a particular specialism for international companies and groups in the manufacturing, distribution, recruitment, day care nurseries and electronics sectors. Vickery, who initially trained with a small firm in Central London, joined Roffe Swayne in 2001. He deals with larger-sized audits across a range of business sectors, and specialises in financial services, solicitors’ practices and pension schemes. Ward said of the promotions: “We are thrilled to be able to recognise the hard work and dedication shown by Helen and Jonathan to the progression of the firm, and to the provision of excellent client service, with their promotion to partner.”
• RH Amar, the country’s leading fine food distributor, has further bolstered its family connection, with James Amar joining the business’ product marketing department. Amar, who is the grandson of company founder Raoul and the son of chairman Henry, joins the High Wycombe- based business after gaining experience in the world of telecommunications. A marketing and communications specialist, he joins his brother, MD Rob Amar, in the business following a five-year stint at Orange, where he had particular responsibility for the mobile phone giant’s web offering. Amar will have immediate responsibility for the continuing success of the popular D’Aucy brand of authentic French canned vegetables, as well as for driving RH Amar’s digital and communications strategies. “I’m delighted to finally be joining the family business, which has obviously always been in my blood,” said Amar.
• Pulse Cashflow Finance, the invoice finance and outsourced credit management specialist, has appointed Martyn Price, a seasoned corporate financier, as sales manager. Price brings a wealth of experience in corporate finance to the company in addition to a growing introducer base. In his new role, he is set to build on these solid foundations across new territories. Price has worked in banking and finance for more than 15 years. He has in-depth knowledge of asset-based lending and has spent the past eight years generating leads and structuring deals for fast- growth companies. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a regional sales manager for Aldermore Invoice Finance and as a senior broker for a commercial finance brokerage.
