Editor's Letter W hat a whirl wind this has been for
iJump Sports with the acquisition of Show- Biz. The excitement of the new look has been contagious and the interest for new expanded articles is rewarding. To start with, a heartfelt thanks for all the support for the change and the interest of the rid- ers and trainers. It is great to know the new expansion is welcome!! The year has seen so many changes for
our sport, from the new governance out- line for USHJA, to the new FEI Nations Cup format, to local organizations making new plans. It’s called progress and it seems as if we are on our way. After a not so nice campaign process in our American politics, and all the economy discussion around the world, it is time to get on with our future. And what a future we have. The success of the West Coast Indoor Circuit was amazing and certainly fun. With new riders and competitors coming from as far away as Florida, the circuit made a yearend wrap up special. Ending with Las Vegas, the circuit was robust and full of change. Seems the word of the day is “change”! So much happening at this point in time
for our sport. 2014 promises to be exciting and interesting, we just don’t really know what is on the horizon now. Take it from me, the forever Pollyanna, it will be a fun ride starting right out with the new $1,000,000 jumper class at Thermal. What a fortunate group of sports enthusiasts we are to have HITS management always willing to put their pocketbook to the test. A MILLION BUCKS for one class here on the coast. Will be interesting to see what else Tom has up his sleeve. That said, it appears there is a new dawn rising with exhibitors and management
working together for a common goal…it’s about time! See you down the road, it’s a bumpy one but one NONE of us would miss!
