Healthy Life Expo at Minneapolis Convention Center

he annual Healthy Life Expo will be held at the Minneapolis Conven-


tion Center, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on January 12. This expo will mark the 20th event since 1996, when orga- nizer Rick Martinek first began offering Healthy Life Expos in Minnesota. With more than 200 exhibitors, this is the largest health and wellness expo in the Midwest. Visitors can enjoy free product samples, mini-massages and free health screenings. They also can


learn about spas, health clubs and fitness classes. Speakers will discuss such topics as wellness, acupuncture, feng shui, herbs, organic foods, natural cooking, massage, Pilates, yoga, medita- tion, family health, nutrition, fitness and longevity. Prizes and giveaways will be offered throughout the weekend. From 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, visitors can meet Staci from KS95, spin the prize wheel and have their pictures taken with her.

Spirit Wellness Center Children’s Fair to Be Held in Eagan T


he Spirit Wellness Center, in Eagan, will host its first Children’s Fair this month. The fair, designed to help children of all ages and their families develop their spiritual gifts, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 12, at the Best


Western Dakota Ridge Hotel, in Eagan. The fair will feature more than a dozen vendors, including healers, readers and other metaphysical practitioners, who will discuss their work with visitors. Family-friendly presentations include “Kids and Playing with Energy,” “Connecting Source,” “Parents and Your Psychic Child,” “Connecting to the Family Heart” and “Transforming Challenging Child Behavior: Present- Moment Parenting.” Children’s activities, such as “Color Your Angel” and “Plant a Seed for the New Year,” will be offered as well.


“Kids often see and experience spiritual things that parents sometimes dismiss or misunderstand, and this is a way to learn to support the children and their families,” says Kellie Hahnel, organizer of the fair. “This can help children manage and honor their energy and spiritual gifts.”
