Charities Benefit from Wear I Give Jewelry and Clothing Sales
W
ear I Give, based in Mound, is a new natural jewelry and clothing business that donates half of every sale to
charity. The company, whose mission is “Creating a movement for good,” was founded by Jeremiah and CJ Staples. Wear I Give offers eco-friendly, hand-crafted jewelry created
with natural elements. Wrap bracelets, made of hemp, come in three lengths and nine colors. They are braided by families in the Philippines, through a mission group called Threads of Hope. The disc logo “buckle” is made from coconut shell. After customers purchase a bracelet, they can visit the Wear I Give website, enter the code on the back of the bracelet tag and desig- nate which charitable organization will receive their 50 percent donation. Organizations represent a variety of causes, including wildlife and natural resources conservation, organic farming and sustainability, mental health and social movements. A variety of beads, made from wood, nuts, seeds and paper,
can be purchased as well. Each bead, designed by the Staples’ grandchildren, represents a different charitable organization. Wear I Give also carries accessories and T-shirts made of hemp, bamboo and organic cotton. “We have a passion for health and wellness, and a desire to make a difference in the world, and we set out to do so in a way that allows anyone and everyone to participate,” says Staples. “It has been very rewarding and so fun. People are generous by nature and we see it all the time.”
