FROST Builders Ltd has worked on a number of eye- catching domestic new builds, extensions and renovations in Cornwall in recent years.
One of the most stunning properties is The Boathouse at St Mawes.
This project won a special commendation award for a new building at the Cornish Buildings Group Awards in 2008.
Frost Builders Ltd, which is based in St Austell, undertook the building work with CAD Architects’ Ross
Edwards at the helm. The project saw a contemporary rebuild at the site of an old boathouse.
The scheme took a year to complete with two-thirds of the 6,000 sq ft property developed as living space and one-third devoted to boat storage.
The property features round windows, a large open- plan living area with skylights, a spiral staircase and wonderful views over the Percuil River. The exterior (see picture on opposite page) is clad in low-
