DUA PELUMBA MOTOSIKAL NEGARA MENCIPTA SEJARAH S


EPANG - Sejarah tercipta di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang pada 21 Oktober 2012 apabila dua pelumba muda negara, Zulfahmi Khairuddin dan Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah masing-masing cemerlang di Grand Prix Malaysia 2012.


Zulfahmi, yang bersaing dalam kelas Moto3, mencatat kejayaan sensasi apabila muncul sebagai pelumba Malaysia pertama yang menjejak kaki ke podium apabila menamatkan perlumbaan di tempat ke-dua. Perlumbaan tersebut dimenangi oleh pelumba Red Bull-KTM-Ajo, Sandro Cortese yang hanya berjaya memintas pelumba Air Asia-SIC-Ajo Zulfahmi di garisan penamat untuk muncul juara.


Pelumba wildcard negara Hafizh mencatat tempat ke- empat dalam kelas Moto2. Penunggang pasukan Petronas Raceline Malaysia berusia 18 tahun itu berjaya mendahului perlumbaan beberapa pusingan sebelum menamatkan perlumbaan di belakang Alex De Angelis, Anthony West dan Gino Rea.

Datuk Lee Chong Wei is getting married to former national number one Wong Mew Choo, his girlfriend of 11 years on Nov 9.


“It is every woman’s dream to have the best wedding, and I know how important it is to Mew Choo. I want to make her happy. I want to surprise her with something special. After all, she has waited for 11 years. I want to throw all my energy into my wedding preparations now,” he said.


Lee who won the silver medal at the London Olympics won the Denmark Open on Oct 21 (his birthday) defeating China’s Du Pengyu in the final.


“It has been physically draining since the London Olympic Games, but I am happy that I am still able to win titles. Now, it’s time to ensure Mew Choo has a memorable wedding,” he said.
