Colored Light Therapy Seminar in St. Paul
C
olor therapy expert and consultant Rose Peterson will lead a Colored
Light Therapy seminar on November 10 at the Carondelet Center, in St. Paul. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. Based in Oregon, Peterson has been
involved in color therapy, for clinics and home practitioners around the world, for more than 30 years. Recently, she says, the interest in color therapy as a healing modality has grown tremendously. “This year the requests for color therapy tools are four times what they have been any previous year,” she says. “You can point to many reasons why. But the bottom line is that it has to work, and it has to be inexpensive.” Peterson’s seminar will include
demonstrations and discussions of many aspects of color therapy, including intui- tive color therapy, sound therapy, dows- ing, combining therapies and a variety of holistic color therapy pieces that Peterson created after conferring with many health professionals worldwide. In addition, Peterson will feature her own Spectro- chrome Glass Filters™ for the first time at the seminar, as well as the best practices throughout the world of color therapy.

Planet Thrift Opens in Little Canada P
lanet Thrift, in Little Canada, opened for business on August 25. Store owner and Realtor Phil Tateosian saw a need for helping people find affordable
goods, while at the same time keeping people’s discarded items out of landfills. As a Realtor, Tateosian saw houses filled with left-behind belongings as owners
and renters moved out without taking everything they owned. He says it seemed like a natural transition to open a store that would recycle these usable items. Tateosian says he has been surprised by some of the uses people have for what they buy in his store. One customer purchased a painting in an old frame. Her plan was to discard the painting and then use the frame to accent a mirror. Another came in and bought a large set of drapes. She explained that she had no use for the drapes, but had discovered it was cheaper to buy the material for other projects at used good stores rather than at fabric stores. “By donating usable items like clothing, furniture, dishes and more, you can keep items out of the land- fills and help create a greener way of life for everyone,” Tateosian says. “By shopping at our thrift store, you can expect to find great treasures at affordable prices.”
