A first class degree from Cambridge also acted as a key differentiator in enabling Avril to secure her first role as a trainee accountant, and Avril notes that ‘it also demonstrated my academic ability, motivation and dedication, resulting in a high level of respect from my colleagues and also confidence in my ability to complete the ACCA qualification’.
Being awarded the Gold medal for your final ACCA exams in no easy feat, but Avril graciously accepts her accolade. ‘I had worked extremely hard to achieve first time passes in all 14 papers, over a period of three years, so it was incredibly satisfying to see my hard work pay off, and to be recognised for this’ says Avril.
