Jono serves up a treat for Lynda
Local chef Jonathan Hancock has appeared on ITV as part of a new series My Tasty Travels hosted by Lynda Bellingham.
The series saw the Loose Women star take to the road on a quest to seek out Britain’s best summer eats.
Trawlers on the Quay head chef Jonathan was asked to demonstrate a simple sea bream recipe for the show which was filmed at Barclay House in Looe in mid August.
‘It’s always nice to do something different and I’m always more than happy to showcase the fantastic fish we have here in Looe,’ Jono commented.
‘I enjoyed it but I don’t think I’ll be giving up the day job anytime soon!’
The series cast its net from country fetes to food and drink festivals, family picnics to cricket teas, street food to street parties, with Lynda immersing herself in the people and places that give this country its distinct seasonal flavour.
In every episode Lynda was tasked with a food challenge and her culinary skills were put to the test as she rustled up a variety of dishes.
Her missions included baking a perfect Victoria sandwich for the Women’s Institute to creating a curry for the local lifeboat men.
