day. T e fi nal repairs we wanted to be made at home in Duncan BC. T is happened the same day they were inundated with repairs to RVs and trucks due to the hailstorm that happened in Cardston. We were very pleased with their speedy and courteous help during this stressful time and would recommend their service to all. Not to be outdone, two days later our

Rancho Sordo Mudo RV Park (Wine Country) in Northern Baja.

Looking for Campground Hosts: Rancho Sordo Mudo school operators are now prepared to re-invest in the campground

ensuring all facilities are returned to working order. T is initiative includes recruiting Campground Host(s) to assist in operating the campground, maintaining services and participating with school activities. As you know normally Campground Hosts are volunteers, however they also incur no fees at the RV Park. Anyone interested should contact Howard & Janet Grobstein, Rancho Sordo Mudo

Traveling challenges: Aſt er travelling through northern BC to the Jones Jamboree 25th and fi nal time in

Beaverlodge, Alberta and Regina, Saskatchewan to visit relatives, we stayed in Lethbridge for several days. While leaving Lethbridge we pulled to the curb momentarily to check the RV. When

pulling back into traffi c, we had one of their lovely shade trees on 6th Ave South tear a large hole in the roof of our 2008 Cougar. Devistation ensued. Our friend in Lethbridge took us to Eldorado RV, and one Ron Hall, General Manager, had us patched up to travel the same

truck acted up and we had to be towed in Trail, BC by Scrap King out of Selmo. Bob, the driver, also gave excellent service. T ere was no cellphone or OnStar reception in this particular area and we were aided by a couple from Kelowna who drove into Selmo, reported to BCAA and returned to tell us the tow truck would be along shortly. Kudos to Brent and Vera Cumiskey of Kelowna for their help.

Carry On Regardless, RVers! It has been a real joy to spend the last

hour reading the Digital edition of T e RV Times, so much so that I am ordering a mail edition. At age 84 my eyes oſt en betray me, as I try to become more user friendly with Android phones, Apps, I-pads, and endless new products to embrace. However, my love for the RV lifestyle will

always remain the same, because I still feel that there is no better way to holiday or even live permanently within it, as we have done both, off and on for fi ſt y years now! Yes, we began with a tent in France, moved

on to a tent trailer back in Canada, a derelict motorhome, a better one, a too fancy peach decor 30-ſt fi ſt h wheel, with too many screws loose, an absolutely gorgeous perfect performing 28ſt motorhome (why did we sell it?), and several sundry motorhomes and trailers and trucks to a grand total of eleven RVs. Now, both in our eighties, we succumbed

once more to a darling little 22-ſt motorhome, well-kept and just right for trips less than 1,000 kms. To the despair of our daughters we dash off whenever we are bored with farm life (their farm) in a fl urry of well worn competence in Benji 2 (our 6th motorhome), and try to recapture all those trips that made our life so very happy. Aſt er 52 moves within the RCAF, we had

no choice - it was keep moving, white line fever paramount, and carry on regardless, as we eased into old age. Many adventures, many friends, many

beautiful lakes, rivers, two oceans, and as for me and my husband of nearly 60 years, we ALWAYS knew – it’s the journey, NOT the destination! It’s a wonderful magazine Sheila. Dorothy M. Wilson Via Email
