For the second straight year, Hammond Stadium, in Fort Myers, has been honored by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals as the most vegetarian-friendly ballpark in the country. The facility is home to the Fort My- ers Miracle minor league baseball team and the Minnesota Twins during spring training.

The stadium’s vegetarian options—including veggie burgers (with optional vegan cheese), veggie tacos, veggie dogs, a veggie Philly sandwich, a fruit-and-vegetable tray and vegetarian baked beans—are sold in a space known as the Green Room, near the team store on the second level. “This is really only the second dedicated year that we’ve had a vegetarian menu,” says Gary Sharp, the Miracle’s pro- motions director. “It’s been well-received.”

Hammond Stadium location: 14100 Six Mile Cypress Pkwy. For a complete list of vegetarian-friendly ballparks, visit peta.org.
