Special Yoga Workshops at Ruby & Pearl’s D

uring September, all levels of yoga stu- dents will have an opportunity to deepen

their practice via three workshops at Ruby & Pearl’s Boutique~Yoga Studio, in Fort My- ers. The studio’s knowledgeable, experienced instructors will help students safely and com- fortably explore various dimensions of yoga’s healing qualities.

Experience a relaxing and rejuvenating journey for the mind and body during the

Starry Night Guided Meditation with Healing Crystal Bowls, from 6 to 7 p.m., Sep- tember 8. Sounds and vibrations of the bowls help renew each cell, release stale energy and remove blocks from the body. Comfortable clothing is suggested. From 4 to 5:15 p.m., September 9 and 16, a two-part Arm Balance Workshop explores the foundations of arm balancing and provides tips to “get the wings open” and the body off the ground. “These liberating postures teach us not only about our intrinsic power, but about our innate playfulness, courage, fearlessness and agility,” says co-owner Heather Holland.

Intro to Ashtanga, one of the studio’s most popular classes of ashtanga yoga, offers guidance and assistance to help students learn the breath, Sun A&B’s, the standing series and some of the seated asanas, from 4 to 6 p.m., September 22. Bring a hand towel and water for this class that is simple enough for most begin- ners, yet challenging for seasoned students.

Fees: Sept. 8, $25; Sept. 9 and 16, $36 for both sessions or $20 drop-in; Sept. 22, free to Ruby & Pearl’s yoga students or $18 drop-in. Limited class sizes. Location: 6420 Plantation Park Ct., Ste. 104. For more information, call 239-768-1021, email RubyAndPearlsBoutique@gmail.com or visit RubyAndPearls.com. See ad, back cover.
