Sports and Biomechanical Medicine


The Course offers a new postgraduate Masters programme with an innovative and unique balance of content involving Medicine, Sports and Exercise with Biomechanics, which will be attractive to professionals and graduates in medicine, engineering, science, sports science and exercise, podiatry, biology, clinical field professionals and other related disciplines worldwide.


The taught postgraduate degree will involve a balance of face- to-face teaching, practical laboratory work, internship in clinical placements involving sport and exercise clinics, and self-directed study utilising the necessary study guides and tutor support.


The programme provides a Masters programme at an advanced practitioner level attractive to graduates from a wide spectrum of specialties, interested or contemplating opportunities in clinical and non-clinical environments of sport and exercise.


Graduates from the programme will be able to use their skills and knowledge to successfully increase their level of integration of sport and exercise medicine within their respective professions and disciplines at an advanced level.


Graduates will be able to contribute to team work (e.g. of clinical treatment, sports and exercise, sports teams and development) with a more profound under- standing of the inter-relationship between movement mechanism, fundamental nature of human performance at all levels and clinical outcome 
