Brevard County Dental Hygiene Association provides continuing education
opportunities in current technologies and oral health as well as access to information on the dental hygiene profession and licensure maintenance. Members participate in community health awareness projects, support local dental hygiene students’ projects and assist in a donation drive for the South Brevard Women’s Center Wish List. The organization's website posts the Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) substitute list and employment opportunities. All Brevard County dental hygienists and dental hygiene students are welcome to join.

Brevard County Medical Society (BCMS) offers physicians legal and public
representation. The society provides a membership directory, referral service and physician information service. Published three times per year, The Bulletinmagazine offers information on the latest medical discoveries and advancements, and articles from fellow members. BCMS meetings provide an environment for local physicians to discuss important issues in the medical field. Additionally, the organization provides a professional review committee, continuing education courses and educational programs for office staff.

Members of Central Florida District Dental Association (CFDDA) are also granted
membership to the Florida Dental Association (FDA) and the American Dental Association (one fee provides access to all three organizations). The FDA offers members discounted continuing education courses, access to an FDA peer review program, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance and delegable duties information, leadership training and corporate discounts. In addition, CFDDA provides access to local continuing education credits and an opportunity to network with other dentists in Central Florida.

The Flagler County Medical Society (FCMS) is actively involved in the health and
health education of the Flagler community. FCMS members regularly donate their time and finances to medical and community organizations. The society sponsors health screenings, offers scholarships to students going into the medical field and provides free physicals for athletes participating in local high school sports.

The Northeast Florida Optometric Society (NEFOS) is the third largest optometric
society in the state. NEFOS hosts 10 events each year, some that offer free continuing education hours. NEFOS sponsors Florida Optometric CCE, The Sulzbacher Homeless Shelter and Save Your Vision Month in March. The society also helps Nova Southeastern College of Optometry students attend the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Legislative Day in Tallahassee every March.

The Volusia County Medical Society (VCMS) offers a wealth of information to
physicians, including legal and practical health care organization management. Members can take advantage of many helpful services including office management information, networking, public relations, marketing support and an active physician referral service. The VCMS provides valuable medical information to the public through a weekly talk show, a bimonthly newspaper column and a community- oriented website with an online physician directory. The society publishes a weekly e-newsletter for physicians and produces a quarterly magazine, The Stethoscope, showcasing interesting information and articles for the medical professional.

The Volusia-Flagler County Pharmacy Association (VFCPA) assists local pharmacists
and pharmacy technicians by providing resources and representation in the community. Members are invited to attend free seminars in order to fulfill continuing education requirements and meet other professionals. Non-members can also attend these seminars at a cost of $25 for each individual meeting. The society works to constantly improve the pharmaceutical field in the Volusia and Flagler area. Membership cost is kept low so all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians can join the VFCPA and work together to advance the practice and profession.

To be a member of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association, you must be a
member of one of the 22 components, or sub-groups, throughout the state. The Volusia Component is a group of local podiatrists ranging from New Smyrna Beach to Palm Coast, who meet quarterly to discuss current topics in the podiatric profession. Members of the Volusia Component benefit from lectures that educate them on current medications and new podiatric treatments.
