Florida Hospital Flagler Florida Hospital Flagler is a nonprofit organization with a mission to
extend the healing ministry of Christ. The hospital is a member of Adventist Health System Inc., the largest not-for-profit protestant health care provider in the nation. The system currently operates 44 hospitals within 10 states.
Florida Hospital Flagler, formerly known as Brunnell Community Hospital,
was acquired by the Adventist Health System in 2000. In the fall of 2002, Florida Hospital Flagler opened its current facility, equipped with care centers for heart, cancer and women's health, the latest in medical technology and specially trained physicians who are experts in a wide variety of health care needs.
Florida Hospital Flagler has 99 licensed beds with 16 additional
observation beds and employs more than 900 caregivers, of which nearly 75 percent live in Flagler County. Florida Hospital Flagler is now comprised of the hospital’s main campus, the Town Center Surgery center and a freestanding outpatient center, but the hospital continues to grow with the community. In July 2012, Florida Hospital Flagler will open a medical plaza located near Palm Coast Parkway. The $15 million dollar facility will house a children and adult rehabilitation center, an imaging center, a lab, a walk- in clinic, and offices for several medical specialties including family practice, cardiologist and an ENT.
Florida Hospital Flagler’s belief is to not only grow with the community and provide the facilities and equipment to improve
health care, but to also recruit the needed physician specialties. In the past two years, the hospital has recruited and attained physicians in the field of neurology, family practice, cardiology, general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, gastroenterology, emergency medicine, anesthesia, radiology and vascular surgery.
As the backbone of health care in Flagler County, the not-for-profit hospital adds needed services in the community that are
both profitable and not profitable. Because the hospital’s philosophy is to serve the community, 100 percent of its income is invested into health care services in Flagler County.

Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial opened its doors on May 1, 1967, as
a 100-bed facility with a team of 67 employees and 50 physicians. It’s hard to imagine those humble beginnings have grown into a model for community health and wellness.
Today, the acute-care facility, now known as Florida Hospital Memorial
Medical Center, boasts spacious patient care areas with more than 400 private beds between the facility and the Florida Hospital Oceanside campus. Over the years, the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding upscale obstetrics at the BirthCare Center, state-of-the-art cancer treatment at the Comprehensive Cancer Center, cardiology care through the Cardiovascular Institute, in addition to state-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at Peninsula Rehabilitation Center.
