President’s Dinner, welcoming new leadership
and honoring excellence in the legal community. Te highlight of the evening’s events was the
transition of our leadership; outgoing President Louise A. Lock passed the “Bronze Bell of Justice”, a symbol of the Association, to incoming President George S. Tolley III (pictured below). Following his installation as President, George
welcomed the other newest MAJ officers: President-Elect Lawrence S. Greenberg of Greenberg Law Offices in Baltimore; Vice President David M. Kopstein of Kopstein & Associates, LLC in Seabrook; Secretary David V. Diggs of Kahn, Smith & Collins, PA in Baltimore; Treasurer Philip C. Federico of Schochor, Federico & Staton, PA

in Baltimore; and Parliamentarian Sloane L. Fish of Law Offices of Sloane L. Fish, LLC in Towson. George, a very active member in MAJ, previously
chaired the MAJ Medical Negligence Section, as well as the Legislative, Education & Programs, Fundraising and Amicus Committees. He is a partner at Dugan, Babij & Tolley, LLC in Timonium, and is licensed to practice law in Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, the District of Columbia, and has been specially admitted in jurisdictions across the country. George also serves on the Maryland State Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Pattern Jury Instructions and the MSBA’s Committee for Reform of the Law. Te evening’s special guest speaker was Maryland’s Lieutenant Governor Anthony G. Brown (pictured below).
