Collected rainwater can be used for landscape and potted plants, vegetable and herb gardens and special plant collections. The workshop will provide setup and maintenance instructions, artistic possibilities and a reference booklet.

Two Free Classes on Planting

elpful advice on cutting back or trimming in the garden or doing major planting will be offered by Collier County Extension during two free


classes that explain the how and why of those activities.


A pruning class will be held from 8 to 10:30 a.m., July 18, at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Reserve, in Naples. Chris Rollins, director of the Fruit & Spice Park, in Miami, will speak on planting tropical fruit, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., July 28, at the Collier Extension Office, in Naples. Also, the Hopkins Nursery will have trees available to purchase.
