PRODUCT INNOVATIONS BOS red dot award win
At this year’s 'red dot award: product design', the CasePlus Design with integrated steel frame from BOS Best Of Steel convinced the international expert jury of 30 members and was given the coveted 'red dot award: product design 2012'. Creative heads and manufacturers from all over the world submitted a total of 4,515 designs to the renowned product competition. With its high design quality, CasePlus Design with integrated frame enthralled the experts and was awarded the globally sought-after red dot for its aesthetic design language. CasePlus Design belongs to the range CasePlus Solutions and is a system for professionally housing electronic components of door and building technology. The electronics are concealed and protected by design orientated glass tiles, yet easily accessible for maintenance or modification. Various lighting possibilities can be integrated within the glass elements, for example for escape routes, corridor lighting or guiding lights. The design elements can be arranged according to preference on the front and back of the door. CasePlus Design stands for: minimalist architecture - maximum function. The presentation of the red dot award will take place on the 2nd of July 2012 as part of the traditional red dot gala. Over 1000 international guests from architecture, design, business, politics and the press will meet at the Aalto theatre in Essen, to celebrate the highlight of this year’s competition. The winning products will then be presented for four weeks in a special exhibition at the red dot design museum. Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of the red dot design award, pointed out the high quality level of the competition: “The most distinguished products of each respective industrial branch faced again this year not only tough competition but also the critical eye of the jury. The experts thoroughly examined, tested and evaluated each individual entry applying the highest standards. With their performances, the laureates not only demonstrated an extraordinary design quality but also showed that design is an integral part of innovative product solutions.” For more information visit
