Builth steal show at national finals

BUILTH Wells YFC swept the board at the recent National Federation of
YFC pantomime finals. Representing Wales YFC with their pan-
tomime entitled ‘SnowWhite –The Sequel’, Builth Wells YFC,fromthe Brecknock Federation, were the overall winners forthe second year. The event, sponsored by Robert Wiseman,
washeld at the Princess Theatre, Torquay, during the NFYFC AGMweekend and saw three teams competing. Judging the competi- tion were Ben Humphrey,David Headley Williams and BevJenkins. Shain Lewis and Mairwen Davies,also
representing the club,wereawarded the best actor and best actress titles forplaying the main characters Billyand the Ice Queen. Producer David Price said: “Totriumph at
the national finals fortwo consecutive years is overwhelming, and atestament to the hard work and dedication of the club as awhole. “The individual awards forMairwen and
Shain were thoroughlydeserved and were the ‘icing on the cake’. But what waspleas- ing wasthe adjudicators commenting on howours wastrulyanensemble piece,and howwell the very young members per- formed. “Weare,asever, indebted to all those who
work behind the

Angharad and Katie set for Highland fling
PEMBROKESHIRE YFC mem- bers Angharad Llewelynand Katie Davies will travel to Scotland in June as ambassadors to represent Wales YFC. The opportunity is one of the
exchange programmes offered by Wales YFC as part of its interna- tional programme. Angharad and Katie’stwo
weeks in Scotland will coincide with the Highland Show. Angharad, 22, andamember of
