Oxford properties announces new team to promote Green Park

Following its acquisition of Green Park, Reading, in November, Oxford Properties has announced a new team of consultants to help reinvigorate the park and expand occupancy.

Lettings agencies DTZ, Cushman & Wakefield and Campbell Gordon have been appointed, following a tender process, to increase the visibility of the scheme across the Thames Valley, UK and internationally.

Also in the new line-up are design and branding agency Further and communication consultancy Fishburn Hedges, who have been appointed to improve Green Park’s communication with current and potential tenants. Broadgate Estates has been retained to bring market leading service levels to occupiers for estates and facilities management.

Paul Brundage, executive vice president Europe of Oxford Properties, said: “The success of Green Park is key to our strategy of acquiring large scale, high-quality assets and actively managing them to create long-term value. Today’s

announcement means that we now have the first class team in place that Green Park needs to make it a preeminent location for business.”

Chris Carter Keall, vice president and head of the Green Park team at Oxford Properties, added: “We have been delighted by the interest from new and renewing occupiers during our first few months at Green Park. We have already secured six

new lettings since the purchase, welcoming Chubb Insurance, the Raglan Housing Association, Sepura, Salcon Green Energy, engineering consultancy Defence Support Solutions and Jardine Lloyd Thompson to new accommodation. The appointment of this new team of consultants will enable us to build upon this early success. We hope to be able to announce further exciting new occupiers, amenities and asset management initiatives shortly.”

Covering a total of 190-acres, Green Park was master- planned by architects Foster and Partners and occupies a prime location on the M4. One of the largest multi-occupied asset-managed business environments in Europe. Green Park offers up to 2.25 million sq ft of Grade A office space and first class amenities. Existing occupiers include Cisco Systems, Symantec, Thames Water, PRA and Quintiles.

First tenant signs for new phase at one of Surrey’s most successful business parks

St Modwen, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, has signed its first tenant for the third, and latest, phase of one of Surrey’s most successful business developments. Kirk Petrophysics will move into 22,500 sq ft of warehousing and light industrial premises at Henley Business Park, near Guildford, in late October.

The new scheme is located on the site of the old Vokes factory which is being removed to make way for a 12-acre extension to the park, providing up to 225,000 sq ft of buildings available on a bespoke design

and build basis. Demolition is now substantially complete.

The first two phases of Henley Business Park became fully occupied within just a few months of their completion in 2009. Nick Kay, development director at St. Modwen, said: “At a time when many other business developments had vacancies we were able to fully let our scheme because of the high-quality accommodation we offered in what is a well sought- after location.

“By developing this latest phase solely as bespoke design and build units, we will be able

to give a range of businesses exactly the accommodation they want and premises perfectly suited for their needs. We are already responding to a range of enquiries.

"The decision by Kirk Petrophysics, which already occupies 20,000 sq ft in phase two, to more than double its space is testament to its satisfaction with Henley Business Park a successful business location.

“Contracts for constructing the Kirk Petrophysics premises are now out to tender and we expect to start on site by the

end of April, with the building ready for occupation in late October.”

Henley Business Park is a 25-acre employment site set in 150 acres of woodland. Located off Pirbright Road in Normandy on the outskirts of Guildford, it already offers 95,000 sq ft of modern business accommodation, ideally located in the heart of the Blackwater Valley.

Its position means that tenants can easily reach all key towns in the area including Aldershot, Farnborough, Camberley and Woking as well as Guildford.
