Quesada Focus ADAPT meets the Mayoress
The ADAPT Association meeting was very special this month with a visit from San Pedro Mayoress Visitacion Martinez Martinez and also the presentation of cheques to two charities, Help at Home and El Samaritano.
The town hall of San Pedro is always very supportive of ADAPT and the Mayoress was very interested in our various activities and projects, many of which were in conjunction with the local Spanish community.
There was a ‘Questions and Answers’ section which was very informal, relaxed and informative.
Also on the agenda this month was the presentation of cheques which were the result of some very hard work on the part of 14 members at the CHARITEA event in San Javier last month.
President Jane Cronin, along with Dennis Gill who co-ordinated the CHARITEA event, handed over 411 euros to Dolores Rueda and Begoña Rodriguez-Madridejos of El Samaritano and another 411 euros to Lesley Eburne and Lynda Christopher of HAH, Help at Home.
The next meeting of ADAPT is June 2nd at 10.30 am in the Hogar de Pensionistas, San Pedro.
