You really do have a filthy young mind. What I’m alluding to are the sheer volume of words, thoughts and visual stimuli that we’ve crammed into this month’s issue of Outline. It’s the same 64 pages, but it’s performed quite the Mary Poppins on yo’ ass and contains more content than ever before. We’ve gone totes bonkers over the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, which explodes onto the calendar this month, and given you a handy 8-page guide to the goings on, cherry picking the cream of the festival’s offerings and getting under the skin of the acts a little. Carrying on with our dissection of local festivals, our second instalment of this year’s festival guide should go down a ruddy treat, and we excitedly look towards Playfest’s 2nd year with an interview with one of their featuring acts, Te Big Pink. Dominooooes, dominooooes. Celebrating those venues with very rigid foundations, we interview Newton Faulkner, who comes to Open, Ladyhawke – our fitty on the cover – and local band Chasing Tigers who both grace Te Waterfront, and Dry the River, who are one of the numerous bands hitting the Norwich Arts Centre this month. ‘Til next month Norwich- ites, the Outline Team and I are off to dip our fingers somewhere comforting, warm and wet… erm, a soothing bath!
