FALMOUTH WEEK August 11-18 Port of Falmouth Sailing Association (six clubs) EVENT DETAILS: Classics August 11, then seven days of racing for yachts, MOCRA multihulls, keelboats, dayboats, traditional classes. Both class and handicap (PY and IRC) racing. FORMAT: Regatta and windward-leeward courses in Falmouth Bay or the Carrick Roads. One or two races/day. Champagne Day on Wednesday. FOWEY ROYAL REGATTA August 19–25 Royal Fowey YC and Fowey Gallants SC, Cornwall EVENT DETAILS: Racing for Dinghy, Keelboat and Cruiser classes. Notice of Race and entry form published on website in May. FORMAT: Passage Races August 19 and 20 for cruisers, then daily racing offshore and in harbour until Friday August 24 for all classes. Dinghy and keelboat classes two races a day and cruisers one a day except Wednesday when there will be two. Children racing in Troys and Fowey Rivers on Saturday morning. CLASSES: Cruiser IRC and PY classes. Falmouth Sunbeams, Troys, Fowey River and Dinghy Handicap Classes (PY up to 1650). Falmouth Working Boats and Offshore Dayboats, Shrimpers/ Crabbers etc. Five boats or more of same class starting will have their own class results. No multihulls or singlehanders.
