THE PALACE TO STAY

With stunning architecture, royal grandeur and lavish design, The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh, Grand Palace hotel opens to worldwide acclaim

Rising majestically from the centre of luxuriantly landscaped gardens, The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh, is an absolute palace of a hotel, grand and stately and notably situated along the Mekkah Road adja- cent to the King Abdul Aziz International Conven- tion Centre. Originally envisioned at design stage as a royal guest palace for visiting dignitaries and heads of state, the hotel's majestic architecture is modelled on the traditional Arabian palaces of the region, with a distinct Corinthian influence. Lavish and elegant, The Grand Palace Hotel is framed by a 52-acre (213,500-square-metre) oasis garden, embracing abundant water foun- tains, Chorisia trees, native palms and 600-year- old olive trees. The hotel's ten-storey splendour boasts accommodation covering 493 rooms and suites, highlighted by 49 lavish two-bedroom Royal Suites, each more than 425 square metres and 50 Executive Suites of 100 square metres each. Other comforts are six distinctive restaurants and lounges, a lavish spa, all with unprecedented service levels, says the company. The exclusive Club Lounge offers complimentary food and bev- erage presentations throughout the day.
