My name is Sean Taylor. I am a singer songwriter from Kilburn, north London. I have released five albums and in the last ten years played over 800 gigs all over the UK & Europe. These have included the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Beautiful Days and Celtic Connections. I have played support slots for John Fogerty, the Neville Brothers, George Benson, Tom Paxton, June Tabor, Band of Horses, Dick Gaughan and Martin Simpson. I have played live sessions BBC Radio 3 as well as the Bob Harris show (BBC Radio 2). I have also been featured in mainstream magazines such as Uncut & Q and now Musos Magazine.
I began playing guitar when I was 15 and writing songs almost immediately after being into Brit pop in the 90‘s and 60‘s Soul Music. Then I got into fingerstyle guitarists and songwriters like John Martyn and I began playing live at 17.
My first three albums ('Corrugations',
'Angels' & 'Calcutta Grove') were recorded in London, but my fourth album 'Walk With Me' was recorded in Dublin with Trevor Hutchinson
(Waterboys, Eric Bibb & Sharon Shannon).
My new album 'Love Against Death' was recorded in Austin, Texas and is the best thing I have ever done. The album was made with Mark Hallman (Carole King, Ani-Di Franco & Eliza Gilkyson).
