always aware that nobody was going to take us seriously until we made a permanent home in Nashville, we had to eliminate the risk factor to be taken seriously, moving here was an important step for us and not an easy one. After finding the right manager, record label and receiving those essential work visas the work could now begin. Starting from scratch in a whole new country is a challenge but one that we all faced head on and continue to do so. It isn’t easy leaving your country, your family and friends behind but our schedule this year is proving to be a good distraction.

As a band we work together, we live together, we’re involved in every aspect of our job, we travel on the road together, we rehearse most days… and we’re still alive! It isn’t an easy thing to do, but our home is spacious which definitely helps and we live in the forest which makes life very peaceful, especially in the Summer. Spending 24 hours a day with the same group of people is not a lifestyle for everyone, I personally feel lucky to be working, traveling and creating music with 3 fantastic guys, who I respect and admire a great deal for making this move. Their talents flow beyond Emma King and The Heartsets too. I’m really proud.

I have a few highlights and good memories since arriving here, playing the legendary Bluebird Café is the biggest one for me, as a child I would constantly read about the Café in books and it was always one of my dreams to play there, such a unique place with great character. We had the pleasure of representing England at the CMA Festival that was so much fun, such an

honor. The guys and I recently recorded at Dolly’s favorite studio (which is now my favorite studio) with her amazing engineers, we learned a lot. I always love working with our friend Glenn Sweitzer he’s created some amazing videos for a lot of my idols -he is a true artist and holds such a passion for music, he created our 1st official music video too which was fun day. Last summer we were invited to Mike Curb’s performing arts college in Florida to perform and record with the students there and 2 wonderful Grammy award winning producers as well, we learned so much, it was so rewarding and they later added a billboard picture of us to their building, which was very surreal but unbelievably cool! Since being here we’ve supported some amazing Country artists, played some prestigious venues and enjoyed recording in some of the most beautiful studios, but
