Tavistock Golf Club’s Open Day on Saturday, March 24th 2012 provides the ideal opportunity for golfers and non-golfers to discover what this great club has to offer. Experienced golfers will relish the challenges of this great moorland course with its deceptively simple and tempting fairways. For those new to the game the chance to be taught by the Club’s highly experienced professionals provides the best possible start to learning this stimulating game. Research shows that you are never too old to play golf and this is proved by the very active and competitive Senior Men and Ladies Sections. Tavistock Golf Club is also justifiably proud of its Juniors whose ages range from 7 to 18 and who, under the guidance of the club professional and Junior organisers, have gone from strength to strength - golf can be a family affair!
But there is more to Tavistock Golf Club than just golf - you do not have to be a golfer to enjoy the amenities and the warm friendly atmosphere of the club. Social members have always played an important part in the life of the Club enjoying the good food and excellent social life. Throughout the year there is a varied social calendar
together with monthly quiz nights and a weekly bridge club. The club is very fortunate in having a highly ex- perienced chef and a first class cook so, if members just want to enjoy a quiet lunch or dinner or a chat with friends over a cup of coffee, the Club house is the ideal place. The Club house is also an excellent venue for group dinners, receptions and family events. We are
