Aico Fire Protection

With much attention focussed on the importance of regular boiler mainte- nance, other sources of carbon monox- ide (CO) in the home are often disregarded with potentially danger- ous consequences, states Smoke and CO alarm manufacturer Aico. Aico’s warning comes after a recent BBC report on a lady in Camelford, Cornwall, who, despite having her gas boiler serviced every year, had been unknowingly breathing in CO for ten years from her cooker. Aico CO

alarms are designed and manufactured to the highest quality, with the CO sensor pre-calibrated and tested in CO gas to ensure accuracy and each and every alarm individually tested during manufacture.

Enq. 223 Safety Platforms

Easy Stair is a lightweight temporary staircase, which makes life on site much easier by reducing the need to climb up and down ladders during the early stages of construction.

Easy Stair also improves safety by removing the need for site personnel to climb ladders to upper floors whilst carrying tools or materials for such tasks as first fix joinery, window installation and insulation to mention just a few.

Weighing only 23kg, the aluminium stair unit is easily lifted into position and secured to the upper floor by two screws, and the guardrails simply drop in to position.

Easy Stair, in conjunction with stairwell edge protection ensures stairwells not only provide easy access but are much safer from the start of the building process.

The stairs are 600mm wide and suit floor-to-floor heights ranging from 2.65m to 3.05m. Tel: 01924 420820 www.safetyplatforms.co.uk

Enq. 225 Videx Security

Videx Security’s GSM door intercom system is available with a number of new features. The latest version inc- ludes a time band to disable or divert calls outside certain times, a silent dialling mode for additional security and the facility for additional diverts on call buttons. The 4000 Series func- tional GSM intercom system works on the same technology as a mobile phone. It enables a call to be made from an entry point to any mobile tele- phone number or land line. Up to 50

call buttons can be connected to the door panel. With the system’s addi- tional divert facility enabled, it is also possible to have up to ten call buttons each with one primary number and five divert numbers.

its Smartair systems. It is easy to assume that specifying the most innovative access control system would guarantee high-level security, but without good quality foundation products, these systems are vulnerable to attack.

Aico Fire Protection

Following the success of Aico’s ground breaking RadioLINK professional wire- free, fire and carbon monoxide (CO) alarm interconnection system, the com- pany has added a new Lithium battery CO alarm to their range. The Ei208WRF comes with RadioLINK technology built into the alarm, allow- ing it to be effortlessly interconnected to an existing or new RadioLINK system, featuring Aico Fire and/or CO alarms. When one unit goes into alarm, all the alarms interconnected

on the system will sound, ensuring the alarm is heard wherever the occupant is in the property. When interlinking CO and fire alarms on the same system, an Aico alarm control switch should be used to identify the source.
